Insurance

We do not participate in any health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid and are considered an "out of network" practice.  At Mathew Psychiatry, we pride ourselves on providing high quality, comprehensive, collaborative care and cannot do this with the restrictions imposed by insurance companies.  We are more than happy to provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement, depending on the insurance.

Out of Office

If your situation is non-urgent, please call the office and leave a message; we will return your call within 24-48 hours.  You can also use the Charm patient portal for non-urgent questions.  In an emergency, call 911 or go to your closest emergency room. If Dr. Mathew is out of town or on vacation, he will arrange for another psychiatrist to cover his patients.

Initial Visit/Consultation

The initial visit is an assessment and evaluation to determine if the clinic is a good fit for your needs, and if you would benefit from continuing on into treatment with Dr. Mathew. The initial consultation is not a guarantee of continuing onto treatment and does not establish a physician-patient or professional relationship.

Cancellation and No-Show policy

Your appointment time is reserved for you. As a courtesy to others and to avoid being charged the full session fee, please provide at least 2 business days notice to cancel appointments. No shows will be charged the full session fee. In the case of illness or transportation issues, we can conduct your scheduled session by phone or video conference.

Emergency, Urgent, and Crisis Situations

If you are or believe you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, including suicidal or homicidal thinking, side effects to medication, or any other urgent or time-sensitive matter in which you need an immediate response, do not use this service; call 911 or go to your closest emergency room.
